The only manual steering box from a G-body that I know of is the early style box. Although it will work, I don't know if the input shaft or pitman arm shaft are the same size as the late model power boxes.
The simplest swap is for a 84+ S10 manual box. It's a direct bolt in but the f-body pitman arm should be used since it's a slightly different length than the S10's arm.
Be aware that swapping to a manual box is mostly for weight saving and removing a lot of stuff from under the hood. Since the S10 manual box is 7 turns stop to stop, slow speed driving (parking lots) isn't as easy as with a power box.

I've heard so many different stories, keep the F body pitman arm vs grab the S10 pitman arm. Anything to do with wheel width or something in the application ?
Taking some days off starting this weekend, so I was planning on trying to find a manual steering box.

82-87 s10 the 4bolt top box, use the pitmen off the f body, the boxs fit s10s g bodys and f bodys, G bodys never came with manual boxes that i have ever seen(g body freak hehe) but you might get lucky and find one in one.

yep, s-10 box with the F body pitman arm...if you have that front load/steering brace under your sway bar mounts it`ll need a little work on the drivers side to clear, I ground a little off the boxes webbing and a little of the brace mount, also had to use shorter bolts on that steering brace.

No pictures but it is pretty simple, the box won`t sit flush to the subframe until it`s clearenced....I remember it being the lower hole nearest the input side of the box. at least that was with my install....
