you forgot cheap crappy tires or poor decision in buying tires. And tire pressure, you don't inflate it to the MAX PSI that is say on the sidewall, most people prefer mid-low 30s and the factory spec is somewhere around there as well I believe.

Hydroplaning with new tires? You didn't by the right new tires or the water is too deep. Even good rain tires with plane on deep puddles.

Oh, and slow down too.

Are the new tires unidirectional, with one or more of them mounted on the wrong side of the car?

Driving too fast for conditions (not a question).

Backward tires killed a guy in a vette on an exit ramp here.

I was walking out of a Wendy's past the drive thru line one day. There was a guy and a girl sitting in a MouseStain and as I passed I noticed their Kumhos were ALL backwards. I'm guessing the victim of a national chain tire rotation. I pointed it out to the guy but he looked real confused, not sure he comprehended that they go one way.

For my tires 215/65/15 the factory psi is 32 if I remember right, says right on the door sticker. Might be a different psi depending on the tire but yeah, the max psi listed on the side of a tire is for when it's fully loaded down to it's max load carrying capacity.

My Eagle F1's are as close to unhydroplanable as I have ever come. Better wet than my old tires dry.
