Standard Ride Height

I have read about 100 post concerning spings for the 3rd GEN but I do not want to lower my car (not a fan of dragging speed bumps and driveways). Am I off my rocker here or can the camaro be lowered without it dragging the ground? Is there a standard ride height performance spring or will the all be 1"ish shorter? Thx for the help

Since you read all those posts then you should know that the factory springs sag like crazy with age and milage

Lowering springs in many cases dont affect or lift the car compared to the old springs

Now that youve read that for the 101st time, gague your drop based on those youve already read compared to your already low riding mods. Most notably headers and aftermarket crossmembers

There is no magic number for you

I suspect our car had issues with dragging straight from the showroom.

Yeh I think your right about the dragging from the factory. I compared mine to a bone stock 90% restored IROC today and its the same height...Guess it means need to slow the hell down going over stuff.

At least with aftermarket springs the hieght is the height. With my stock set up I took the car out for the first time in over a year and tore up the front nose.......the car droppped without me knowing.

With aftermarket springs and the new ride height you get used to it and no guesswork.

I believe Moog makes OEM style replacement springs. Check summitracing.com.

I am currently installing these on my RS. I wanted stock ride height.
