Bolt Pattern Question
Bolt Pattern Question
Im looking to get some Aero Series 59 Wheels. The only problem is, the bolt pattern is 5 on 5. Correct me if I'm wrong, but my 1988 v6 camaro has a 5x4.75 bolt pattern. Is there a way I can get around this problem?
Also, what is everyone's opinion on these wheels? Sweet or no go?

5 on 5 is the large GM bolt pattern. Used on pickup trucks, B-body and full size cars. The 5 on 4-3/4" is the more common GM car bolt pattern.
It's not practical to convert your current axles to 5 on 5 but as mentioned above, you may be able to get adapters. Personally, I'd sell the wheels and get some with the proper bolt pattern. Depending on the backspacing, the adapters may push the wheels out too far.

those wheels belong on jeeps who can't afford real wheels and would be much heavier than a nice aluminum rim. Not sure why you'd want a circle track wheel anyways that looks like the cheap off road rims that everyone uses.

or any circle track vendor will have them. Just look for something meant for a hobby stock car. You'll need to do some measuring and see what back spacing you need. Stock 16x8 wheels have 5", you'll probably need the same for the 15's, but I'm not sure you can find them with that much back spacing.

Lets break out our handy dandy calculator....actually for this one I have enough fingers.
Stock 16" wheels are 8" wide with 4" of backspacing in the front and 5" in the rear. So, you have 4" of rim out board of the hub in the front and 3" in the rear. The wheels your looking at have 5" of wheel outboard of the hub 9.5-4.5=5. So go look at your car and see if you have 1" of extra room in the front and 2" in the rear. My experience says it'll look like azz, but your in luck because 90% of these wheels come in 8" width, which would work better.
