I have the cheap performance shocks- monroe sensa-tracs. They seem to work well, I have no complaints after six years and around 10,000 miles. I have the hotchkis SFCs and Interco Springs, I saw the eibachs on another 3rd gen, and they don't lower it enough for me. The intercos are a full 2", while the eibachs are around a 1.5". Total package would be around 900 with shipping for the sensa tracs (400), springs (190), and SFCs (220). The ride afterwards is unbeatable though, and I love the twisties

For rough roads I'd recommend the SFC's. Getting rid of a lot of the squeaks, creaks and groans while you're traveling is much more important, for me, than the slightly better performance you'll get from the more expensive shocks/struts.
Without SFC's your car won't even be able to take full advantage of the hyper-expensive suspension pieces.
Try the SFCs with KYBs for a while then decide if you need replacement springs.

Without a doubt, do SFC's and a steering brace aka wonderbar, if you don't have them already.
Then Koni Yellows and Eibach springs. Then poly bushings, adjustable top mounts etc etc.
Then all the other minutia if you feel you need it.

Get the Koni yellows you wont be sorry. SFC I am not currently able to use so I have no personal experience, though I would expect a nice improvement there.

def get some Spohn SFC's, no question there. find a quick ratio gearbox on ebay, and throw in a new ragjoint while you're down there. Then I'd go pro-kit and KYB-Gr2s. After that wonderbar/lca brackets. then poly up the swaybars.

If you're looking for someone to install SFCs, check some muffler/exhaust shops. Find one that's done a set before. Just make sure they (or you) remove the door sills and pull the carpet back away from them. The heat from welding can burn the carpet/plastic.
