ive read that the only real and best way is to get the weld in relocation brackets but i bought the bolt in ones because i do not have a welder. is there any problems or down sides to the bolt ins?

Yeah... they're not welded.is there any problems or down sides to the bolt ins?
On the other hand, no down sides at all, if you weld them.
Put them in as per the instructions; drive to the muffler shop; pay the $20 or whatever to get them to weld them.

Bolt in ones are actually a good way to go because you can put them in youself and then drive to a shop to get them welded.what if i dont weld them?

Well then you're a .... never mind.what if i dont weld them?
Weld them.

Eventually the bolt holes will wallow out, and your rear will just kind of flop around back there. And "eventually" isn't very long in this case.
Weld them.
the UMI ones arent that bad like 70 i think with new hardware. shipping cant be more than 10$ i think...
i got the bolt ins bc my rear is pretty rusted and idk if i want to keep it or just get one thats in better condition. the weldin ones come natural with no coating and if u weld them in ur gona have to get them painted ASAP. also the bolt ins have a sexy powdercoating
i thought the elongating of the bolt holes only happen with bolt in SFC's? never heard of that with the relocation brackets....ive heard many with the bolt ins with no probs

We actually have never had any issues with our bolt on style relocation brackets and as mentioned they can be welded at any time if desired. I pasted a link below to our bolt-on and weld-in set-ups, if you have any questions please ask and I am glad to help.

Thanks again for the business!
I've got the UMI's on order. Actually, they've been on order for awhile now, but none the less, I've heard so many good things, I'm willing to wait.
....but I've done a LOT of research, and although everyone seems to have stories of horrific "bolt-in" problems, I only found ONE person who had a problem, compared with countless people who've had 'em bolted in for a long time with no problems.
...I do plan to have mine welded in when I get my SFCs done, but I wouldn't worry 'bout it if I didn't.

I purchased a pair from Spohn as well as LCA's (waiting for UPS to bring them), they say they need to be welded in but they look like bolt-on's to me. How long would I be safe with just bolting them in and waiting to have them welded in when I buy SFC's?
