wana make my car handle!!

Hey i was thinking of upgrading my suspension on my 85 camaro but was wondering if the stuff i was thinking of buying would make a big enugh differnce to spend all the money on..
ok i was going to get all new polyurathen bushing for the front control arms and sway bars. geting the poly trany mount. and then i was thinking about geting the spohn lower contral arms and panhard rod.. dropzone springs..new struts and shocks.
i have the iroc sway bars and wonder bar.. and 17" hopsters. stock tourq arm

this car is berlinetta i ran it stock last summer with all the old bushing and ****.. so i dont even know how the roc sways will make it handle.
i have a pritty fresh 350 with a performer rpm intake. cam to match, hedders, 2.5 true duels, eccel ignition. 2800 stall converter and shift kit in the 700r4.

should i just save my money and just buy all poly bushings for the stock stuff of buy all this other stuf?
thanks guys..
btw my car has rear discs is that rare?? for this car?
awsome site btw!!
thanks!!

I don't know much about berlinetta's but I would assume that rear disks are a higher option as I've never seen/heard of a berly with rear discs myself.

For handling I would consider purchasing all the poly bushings after you bought swaybars etc. so you don't purchase bushings twice.

Some sway bars, nice shock and spring combo(perhaps moog z28 springs and koni yellows) and poly bushings would make a gigantic difference over your berly's suspension.

Good luck.

My advice would be not to get polyurathane for the LCAs or front A-arms. I had some poly LCAs and they were too loud for my tastes. I went to a rubber/rod end set-up and like them much more. I would expect that the same would be true for the a-arms. I plan to get these bushings for my a-arms as soon as I get the money (and the other things off my list).

For 16x8s, it would be either 235/55s or 245/50s. Those are the stock sizes. I don't know about the 15x7s.

huh...I would guess 245/45 rear and 235/40 fronts maybe. I'm not really sure on that.

Most of the big names don't offer rubber ended LCAs. They offer polyurathane, rod ended, or combos.
What I mean by loud is the bushing squeaks like mad. Even after I greased them, they were still squeaky. The poly comes in contact with the metal mounting area, and squeaks even if the run is well lubricated.
HotPart.com offers a piece that is a nice compromise. Not tried them, and they haven't been on the market long, but it seems like a good idea.
I built a set of LCAs for mine that are heavy duty rubber on the body and rod ended on the rear end. I like them.

Poly is fine on the PHB and sway bars. I have one (PHB) combo ended now. Not loud at all and performs well. And you might like it on the LCAs, but I don't. I would look into the alternatives I listed before if you are worried about the poly LCAs getting on your nerves.

1st, go rob a bank2nd, take off everything stock and throw it in the trash3rd, read and learn as much as you can about suspension setups and adjustments and how they affect each other4th, buy every adjustasble part you can purchase and set it accodingly5th- you'll have a car that rivals mine and we can tak about it from our jail cells.
