These TT2s should fit, right?

I probably should have asked on here BEFORE I ordered them, but its too late now. I ordered 4 17x8 American Racing Torq Thrust IIs in the 505-7863 part # instead of the 7861...the 7863 is a +7.6mm offset with a 4.5" backspacing. I was told by an online wheel shop that the 7861s (with their 4" backspacing and -11mm offset) would only fit the back but not the front, reminding me of the old IROCs and WS6s with their separate front and rear wheels...something I didn't want to do.

I assume I am ok? They'll be here tomorrow!

I know for sure the front will work. I have the same wheel, 17x8 with a 4.5 backspacing. I have no clue what you need for the back because I have a 17x9.5 with a 5.5 backspacing. But I think ull be ok, I wil tell you this though. Jack ur car up and make sure they fit before you mount them. You can send them back to make them right if you dont mount them, once you mount you own.

I can tell you with complete certainty that the 7861 wheels will fit fine. I have them at all four corners and the car is lowered with Sportline springs.

Mongoose is absolutely correct. You will have no fitment issues. Enjoy.

Yeah, but I have 7863s...I checked with AR Customer Service via email, and they said 7863s will work fine...guess I'm safe!

They'll fit, I also have a pair of those I bought for another project and they fit my car as well.

GeinNothing

AR page sais the 7863 is with a 4.75" Backspacing??
Did they change this? Original 16x8 wheel has 4.5" BS and that is what I need up front too on 17x8 TT2...but 4.5" would be a custom made BS?

Re: These TT2s should fit, right?

The two wheels AR lists as direct fit for a 3rd gen bird have 4.75" BS with +8mm offset and 4" BS with -11mm offset. The first wheel will tuck into the wheelwell while the second will push out and actually look like a wider wheel but still fit the wheelwell. Only clearance issue I've encountered in the 2 years I've had mine is an occassional rub at the rear of the fender liner but that's only at full lock.
