holy cow someone please help!!!!!!!

alright so I just baught this new third gen and it has quite a few mods and runs well lots of power but my biggest promblem is traction!,

heres the list of mods:
1989 camaro iroc g92- 355 rebuilt less than 200 miles.speed pro hyper.30 flattop pistons machined with floating pin, total seal rings, shot peened rods with arp bolts, remanufactured crank, melling oil pump, double roller timing chain, lt4 hotcam, 1.6 lt4(GM Crane)roller rockers. lt1 pushrods and lifters. new sdpc vortec heads upgraded with springs for higher lift. holley stealthram with adj fuel reg., 58mm lingenfelter throttlebody, ford svo 24lb injectors, new dis. cap and roller and wires. bosch plat. plugs. all new sensors with relocated iat. lsracing chip. all smog and a/c removed. non air exhaust manifolds with dual cats and 3" flowmaster exhaust. have 1 3/4" slp non air headers and y-pipe incuded. new abs built 700r4(mad dog)trans. 3.27 9 bolt posi rear with 4 wheel pbr brakes.

Now the rear tires are 245/50Z/R16 and the tires are pretty bald but whenever i take off all it wants to do is burn out!, so my question is can somebody please tell me the best set of tires I can get for this car, for a reasonable cost?, it has kuhmo's all around right now, and I just need rear tires. Also, could somebody if LCA relocation brackets would help? and what are some good ones?, I need the bolt on ones. if anyone can help this would be greatly appreciated !!!! thank you so much

Shaun

Re: holy cow someone please help!!!!!!!

LCAs and relocation brackets will help. Maybe a new torque arm as well. As for tires, I don't really know. Someone else will have to help you with that. And I'm pretty sure that them being bald is part of your problem. I have a set of Spohns, but not installed them yet, but it seems pretty straight-foward. These are good or UMI. But don't leave them bolted in; have them welded soon.

drag radials make a huge difference for street driving. My first gear was useless before.

Re: holy cow someone please help!!!!!!!

nitto 55r's are a good drag radial for street use, you can cut some ok 60's with them, but there main advantage is driving in the rain.

Your GOING to blow the rear with a good 60' its just a matter of when. Also, look up a thread, "how long has your maddog tranny lasted"

What wheels (width) are you running now? Do you have a 3rd or 4th gen rear end?

Re: holy cow someone please help!!!!!!!

With the stock wheels, you can run a 255/50R16 tire. I don't think I'd go bigger than that. With a set of spacers (or a 4th gen rear end) you can run a 17x9 and 275(or 285)/40R17 (what I am putting on now).
