Re: slicks..

i know hoosier makes a 27 inch tall tire, i'm not sure about m/t. I know ET streets have a 26.2 inch tall tire on some of the wider 26inch models...i dont know what slicks they offer. 27 seems like an odd size

Re: slicks..

I am using the 26" Hoosier QTP's and pulled both front wheels about 2". I am getting 1.63 60ft times. Thats without sfc's.

Check out WWW.harlowracing.com

They can set you up with the right set. They also match the roll out unlike some other companys. They have good prices and the shipping is cheap.

Re: slicks..

your a brave man for racing without sfc's. lol i have gone 1.52 on my radials but its not consistent. i want to be able to shove my foot to the floor and go. dont think i will be able to do that without slicks.

Re: slicks..

If you still need DOT the hoosier QTP`s...I went 1.4`s on a 29x11.5x15 have been 9.8`s on them, got 70-80 solid runs on them too

Re: slicks..

Mickey makes a 27.1" tall ET Street Radial with 10.7" section width and 8.8" of tread width; its part number 3756R (255/60R15). If you have a 15" rim and want a radial that will be the closest thing they have to the size you want. Mickey also offers a Bias-Ply ET Street in a simmilar size (part number 3758) but I imagine the radial will be faster on your application. Both are DOT approved. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com

Re: slicks..

Maybe.

ET drag tire width is measured across the tread so an 11.5 will have an even wider section width. I squeezed a 29.5 x 10.5 on 15 x 10 rims with 5.5" of backspace under my fenders but needed to do some inner fender modifications. Dropping down to a 28" tall tire may allow a little more room at the front of the fender but that's still a very wide tire. A 28 x 10.5 ET drag will probably fit with no problems or with only minor modifications.

DOT tire width is measured across the section so the tread will always be less than the rated width.

Re: slicks..

i think im just gonna order a set of 27/11.5/15 hoosier qtp's and get rid of my 275/50 mickeys, that way i dont have to buy another set of wheels and i can just put them on my 15x8s.
