spacer help :) please
ive searched and havent found a good enough answer to my problem. i bought a set of wheels ment to fit a 4thgen they are 17x9 with 275/40/17 on all for i plan to put them on my 82 trans am but not 100% sure what size spacers i need i know i may have to massage the front wheel wells a lil thats no big deal but i really want to be able to put them on as soon as i get them since i am in dire need of new tires. i was thinking 2.25 for the front and 2 for the rear but im not certian any help would be helpful thanks!

Probably either 1¾" all the way around, or 2".
The EXACT best choice will depend on the wheel backspacing you have.
The rear end length difference is about 1-5/8" between a 3rd and a 4th, so that should help put it into perspective.
Get the right spacers, and no "massaging" of ANYTHING will be necessary.

the offset is 40 if that helps i have no clue about wheel sizing lol

Awesome sig.
I have 2 inch spacers on the front of my car and a 4th gen rear. They fit great, just a little rub at full left lock on the inner wheel well.


Nothing bad, just have to make sure not do circles at full left lock.

I don't know if a larger spacer will help with the rubbing or not. I think it would make it worse considering how the inner wheel well curves out.

well i have a lil rubbing now cause of the wheels and tires that are on the car now and since the ds fender is a lil messed up
