rear lca bushings

Engine: 350 Carb(soon a 400)
Transmission: 5-Speed/th350
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 3.73
rear lca bushings

is there a difference in the bushings from the 1le or the regular lca's i am going to replace mine and wanted to know if there is anything better than stock that i can get through a local place.

If you have the stock "U" channel shaped rear LCA why bother to change the bushings?? I would just replace them (for example the Spohn tube type LCAs) then waste the effort on the bushings with little or no improvements.

Yes, the 1LE bushing has a higher durometer. If you decide to go that route, let me know and I'll provide a p/n. That said, DJP is right.

i have a set of stock lca'a that are fully boxed the only prob when they were welded the tock bushings got a little too warm. thats why i wanted to replace the bushings.

boxed control arms, and high durometer bushings are not good, it will bind. You need to allow the LCA to twist in some form, either with a rod-end, or the LCA itself, or the bushings. The stockers work, because the U-shape allows a little twisting, while staying strong in tension and compression, along with rubber bushings. When they are boxed, the only twist that can happen now, is the bushing, so high durometer bushings, or poly bushings are not a good choice, as it will bind up pretty bad.

thanks for the info i did not know that. so its real easy now all i have to do is go to az,aa or napa and i am set. thanks alot for your help
