Question regarding shocks & springs
Hello everyone, I have a big question, I don't really know anything about shocks & springs & I would like to ask if anyone here has installed this kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOKIC...mZ180211689589
and what are your experiences about it. I am tired of feeling every little ripple or bump on these Fairfield, CA streets and need replacements quickly. Thanks in advance!!

Re: Question regarding shocks & springs
Just replace the front stucts & rear shocks. Forget that kit with the lowering springs. You can get everything locally in your area.

Re: Question regarding shocks & springs
my problem is that I need springs as well and I am trying to get all at once, of course I would like to get Koni yellows all around and the Eibach Pro Kit, but I am in a budget and I want the best bang for the buck in all. What I am looking for here is if anyone has this special setup, or at least the shocks and struts from this kit and how do they perform. I know I could go locally here but they will put stock moog springs and KYB GR2's for $750.00 to $800.00 and I've heard that the KYB's perform good for the first 5000 miles then it feels WORST than stock afterwards.

Re: Question regarding shocks & springs
You'd be surprise but I have installed quite a few struts and shocks on third gen and Monroe struts and shocks has the best ride for the street if you're on a budget.

Re: Question regarding shocks & springs
I want something that is not as expensive as bilsteins, and like I said on the first post, I need springs as well. Of course I would like the Eibach Pro Kit and Koni Yellows all around, but that is just something I cannot afford, so anyone tried the TOKICO Illuminas with the springs metioned??

Re: Question regarding shocks & springs
Koni has a lifetime warranty on their shocks/struts. Buy the yellows and that will be the last set of shocks/struts you will ever have to buy for your car. If they ever wear out, Koni will replace them free of charge.

Re: Question regarding shocks & springs
If you lower the car, the Bilsteins will die and the Monroes will die faster. Get something designed for lowering springs.
KONIS will be best, but I've heard that the Tokicos will work, but the dampening, warranty, or lifetime isn't as good as the KONIs. I would reccomend saving for the KONIs.

Re: Question regarding shocks & springs
I think there is one site shox.com that has them cheap with the Pro-Kit. Or hotpart.com has them cheap.

Mike
PS - If your doing the front struts, you might as well replace your strut mounts since you'll have them off anyway. A good set is going to set you back another $217.50 (free shipping) from Hotpart.com.
