OFFSET BUSHING LCA's
can anyone think of any possible negative effects of buying spherical LCA's with offset bushings?
i am upgrading to spherical from the stock LCA's anyway and am thinking that i will get the offset bushings because if in the future i need the extra clearance for tires, it will be there...
in all honesty however, i will probably never have tires that big, so what it comes down to is are there any negatives to offset bushings or not.

the only real issue would be that since they are rod ends on both sides you will most likely pick up some road noise. You need to keep the ends clean, lubed, and in good shape too or they can seize up and then need to be replaced
also, you are going to have to do some serious metal work to the inner fenders before the control arms will get in the way of the tire. What size tire you looking to use?

Re: OFFSET BUSHING LCA's
thats just it. right now i am using 265 i believe, so its a non issue.
its more of a 'what if' kind of thing for me.
i wouldnt want to buy another set later IF i ever get wide tires and need them
in that case, i guess ill stick with the normal bushings.
also, do any of you have issues with adjustable LCA's needing constant re adjustment?
if so, i might get the single adjustable ones where you have to un bolt it to ajust...
set it and keep it...
any other opimions?

i have single adjustable, the dont even need to be readjusted, they cant come loose. The doubles probably can, but not if you really tighted the jam nuts.
If you plan to mainly use the car on the street, i would go with either poly/poly arms, or a poly/rod combo.. Im using a poly/rod combo and it works well.

Re: OFFSET BUSHING LCA's
ok, so then im getting poly-rod combo in single adjustable.
the double adjustable looks like a perfect example of overthinking what should be a simple design
why would you recommend poly poly for street... can you say bind oversteer???
cool

poly poly is a common setup for stock replacenent, i know that poly causes bind, but its cheaper and that what some people look for.

Re: OFFSET BUSHING LCA's
even if price is the main concern, i dont think that poly poly is a good choice.
if you want stiffer, just break out a welder and some steel and box your stock ones.
i feel that the spherical poly single adjustable is a good compromise between all out performance and streetability.
anyway...
