sub frame connectors that work with SLP single cat headers y-pipe
Hey, I know Spohn used to sell an SLP version of their SFCs but I only see one version on their website now. Will the current version fit? What about UMI SFCs or other brands?
Also my y-pipe tucks very tight to my floor boards, like within an 1/8" of touching. Probably because of the poly motor mounts. This occurs about 1.5ft before the cat. Will this cause a problem with SFC install?
Thanks,
John

Very cool. Thank you. Does the cross brace on the Spohns go under the cat?

I don't speak from experience, but on this site someone said their carpet was smoking due to no shield.

No worries I think I would have enough clearance over the cat even with the heat shield. I am also looking at the UMI SFC's but it looks like their cross bar goes over the y-pipe, which is where I have exactly 0 clearance. Can anybody with UMI SFC's comment?

Bummer. I really prefer the look of the UMIs. Maybe I can make a custom cross bar for them that goes over the cat. Can you see the UMIs if looking at the side of the car if you get real low? It looks like they sit lower than the Spohns.

The Spohn SFC.s tuck under very tight and are not visible. You could lay on the ground and put your face up to the rocker and you still would not see them.

Yes... i obviously got GFX and when looking at the car from 10 feet away you cannot see them. Put your head to the ground and you CAN see them. IMO seeing powdercoated red suspension parts under a car looks good, i've got pics in my sig link.

Re: sub frame connectors that work with SLP single cat headers y-pipe
Alstons tuck above the single or dual cat pipes if your exhaust is in the stock location. You don't have to remove the heat shield, but it helps to notch the lip of the heat shield for more clearance.
