Front Sway Bar

Hey guys

Im getting new bushings for my front stock sway bar, for a 92 camaro 305 (If that makes a difference). Does anyone know the diameter of the front sway bar so I can get the right fit? Thanks

Re: Front Sway Bar

Look at your RPO code sheet. There are few options. FE1, FE2, FE3, F41... this will help you determine what diameter it is..

Yes, use an adjustable wrench (monkey wrench). Measure in several places and then measure the distance between the jaws.

Re: Front Sway Bar

My RPO code sheet was on the inside of the rear storage box lid instead of the console lid.

Re: Front Sway Bar

The safest thing to do is to simply measure the bar that you have in there now, assuming that you're keeping it.

Otherwise, you're assuming that your car came off the assembly line with the correct bar for that year's F41 package, and that it hasn't been swapped for something different in the meantime (and there's been at least 16 years of that).

True. I really doubt that it has been swapped because judging by the people i bought it from I dont think they would do it, but your right ill be safe and measure it anyway.

Re: Front Sway Bar

If it is stock, then it's most likely a 34mm hollow. Mine was at least.
