don't think i'd want to try it. ask around at local shops and see what they'd charge to change them. shouldn't be much.

I did mine by drilling and pounding and drilling and pounding and drilling and pounding and ... Well, you get the idea. Took forever and was a pain in the @ss. Take it somewhere and have them press them out and then back in.

I torched the rubber till it melted, then hammered out the shells. Pressed the new ones in, Autozone rents the press for free. The rears I just soaked them with PB blaster and hammered them out and the new ones in.

A day or so before you get ready to install them stick them in the freezer and they will shrink. It makes putting them in a whole lot easier.

as far as freezing them goes i've heard rumers of people using freon to shrink them. i'm sure it'd work but i wouldn't want to endanger the envioment just to make installing bushing easier on myself. near as i can tell all you'd have to do is hook up the gauges to the freon can and open the valve. watch out that you wouldn't get any in your eyes. like i said i've heard rumers, not sure any one would actually do this.

All I used was a hammer and a block of wood. Insert the block in the middle of the LCA to support the walls before hammering. Just be carefull not to bend the control arm when you are hammering the old ones out and new ones in. Also I think for the front bushing you need to drill the rubber out before you use the hammer, its been awhile since i did this but I thought it was pritty easy to do.

Ede, I'm told a little nitrogen or even carbon dioxide works just as well and is much friendlier.
