best bang for the buck for weight transfer looking for a good drag suspension
I've got a 86 IROC with a 383 tpi and I'm looking for a drag racing suspesion that is the best bang for the buck. I'm looking for good 60 foot times, not cornering ability!
I've heard of free mods when it comes to power, what about suspension?
Any body ever tried v6 springs for better weight transfer.
If not who makes a good set of springs and shocks?
What good is power if ya don't hook!
Keep in mind I am a college student and I am low on $$$$. But I do know you ususally get what you pay for.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Anyone ever thought about using a second adjustable shock on the right side of the diff (set on "soft" for street driving, and "firmest" for drag racing) instead of an air bag? By the way Z Boss...LCA = Lower Control Arms; Gear = swap (probably); not sure about girddle (sp).

Girdle would be a diff cover such as TA or Ultimate. The LPW Ultimate also has a brace option for extra strength.
My car has custom made welded subframe connectors, Herb Adams LCA and panhard bar. Steve Spohn torque arm (race version), air bags and LCA relocation brackets. It still has stock springs and shocks.

Getty up my *** this ain't no damn pony ride!!!!
I read about it in a magazine a while back, and when I rebuild my suspension this spring I'm going to put the extra shock on. It should help, from what I understand. I'm going with LCA's w/relocation brackets, adj panhard and torque arm, SFC's, stiffer springs, 3.73 w/posi. With drag radials I should be able to hook up very well!

It was on an el Camino, and it was mounted right next to the right shock. Rancho Suspension makes a tandem mount for 73-87 Chevy pickups (front). Like I said, I haven't tried it, yet, but that's where I'm going to start. I need to crawl under my ride one of these days, and see exactly what it'll take (hopefully not too much "hacking")
