easiest way is to jack the car up, get under it, figure out how to get from point A to point B. it's not hard to do if you can fabricate and weld.

Where do most SFC's connect to the front subframe (or whatever they connect to)? I am thinking about attempting to make a set for my car, but haven't ever seen a set in person. They run from where the rear trailing arms attach/pivot along the rocker panels, towards the front of the car, from what I understand. I don't know what the front end does on either the driver's or passenger's side. And there are also diagonal or sideways braces from each main beam to the center area of the car (tranny crossmember area), right?

Thanks

Thanks F.K. for the plan! glad to here from another canuck. Parts are cheap in the US, but if you work in the exchange, tax brokerage fees, shipping. the price goes up about 220%! again thanks.
if you need any thing let me know!

Rylos,

you dont know of any mail-order companies here do ya?
I got the Canadian Tire Performance Book, its got pretty much everything you'd need, but i find the prices rediculous.

I was shopping for a crate engine, the dealer here wanted $3000, i could get one from pace parts for $1950 canadian plus $300 shipping. I ended up buying one here that a guy had and didnt use, still the prices are sick.

Do you know whats all invloved in getting stuff across the boarder? Ive heard its not too bad but im not to sure.

Lately i've been scouting out alot of parts from e-bay, there seems to be some deals there.

Good luck with the plans, if you want i have some instalation photos i could mail you.

Cya

Taking an engine thru the border is easy as long as you have the vehicle..All you need is to declare the value of the engine then duties and taxes. You save money on brokerage fee. Also by declaring it yourself you can declare the "true" value of the "used","parted engine"..Or you can say that you really bought it off a friend for song and dance although telling the customs officer a "used part" value is more realistic than it being free..
