I bought a set of sfc from Mac (weld on) and went to have them installed the other day and the guy said that the cat was in the way and I would either have to get a smaller one or move it. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you get around it? Thanks

Move outta Cali and ditch the Cat.

 

Got MAC's on the GTA. My weldin' fool buddy hated them compared to the Alston's on the chicken.
I don't really have any exhaust issues to comment on as we put them on while the cats and exhaust were off anyhow. No, they don't really hit anything but my weldin' fool buddy hated the cheapo mounting pads... he figures they'll break off and take a piece of subframe with them if they're beat on severly. Had to take off the cat to get the alston's on also.

I was at a freinds racecar shop while he was installing a set on a 91 Z28. It didn't have cats, so that wasn't a problem, but the mounting tabs fit like crap. He had to cut off both the front ones and reposition them to fit right before installing them.
