Other than slipping them over the existing mounts, putting a bolt through, and then welding what exactly needs to be lined up? Do they fit over tight enough that you dont have to square anyhting up, or if you do have to square them up, how do you go about doing this?
any problems with getting the axle tube to hot? or anything like that?
they will be spohn products.

Check out this link http://www.sethirdgen.org/lcabracketinstall.htm
It shows you all that needs to be done for a LCA relocation bracket install.
You shouldn't need to worry too much about getting the axle tube too hot. The stock bracketry should dissipate enough heat to where you won't overheat the axle tube. Just for piece of mind, I'd weld a bead and take a break for a few minutes and then weld another bead. After about 5 welds, you should have a completely welded LCA relocator.
I have a question for you...Were you at the US41 Gathering last summer? I remember talking with someone who I think was you. I took the car for a spin trying to help determine a hesitation problem. I had the all black '86 with GTA wheels and Miniram.

Yep, that was me. turned out the first problem (according to the mechanic??) was a frayed wire to one of the injectors, so i replaced that. It ran better but not how it should. It finally died at a stop light and wouldn't restart. towed it to the mechanic.....fuel pump. replaced that and fixed it. im planing on going to the track over my spring break around april 20? to the 30? but now i have a header leak, oh well like the signature says.....
