How do check to see if it is the axle or the rim making the car wobble at slow speed.

the car will wobble a little bit at about 10 mph, and then after that you don't notice it after that, How do I check it? Could it be the tire? Thanks the rear is a 9 bolt.

Put it up on a pair of jackstands and put in gear and watch the wheels as they spin...

I had something similar happen to my car. The car would wobble at low speeds, but wobbled so quick @ high speeds, that it was unnoticable. I freaked out 'cuz I though something major was out of kilter.
I realized that I had broke a belt on a tire (excessive burnouts may be hazardous to your tire's health ), and that one rear tire was causing the whole car to shimmy.

But if the rear tire is wobbleing, how do i know if it is the rim or the axle? How can I check just the axle? I am almost 100% sure it is coming from the back.

you probably have a broken steel belt in one of your tires just run your hands over the tread of each tire you will feel a hump on the tire with the busted belt if thats the problem just remember it could be on bottem so if you dont find it move the car a couple feet to expose the bottems

The places where they mount tires have those machines for weight. Most of the better model machines also check rim tolerances at high speed. I doubt it would cost over $20 to have them spin a tire. Im not sure on the drive shaft, but like you mentioned youd like to eliminate the variables.
