Would replacing pitman arm reduce play?

I've recently replaced most components of my steering linkage(center link, idler arm, inner and outer tie rods, and the adjusting sleeves) and it fixed most of the play in my steering. But there is still a little bit of play-not enough though to replace the steering box. I wouldn't think that the pitman arm would be that significant, but I figured I would get anyone else's opinion it. Thanks,
matt

The pitman arm has nothing on it that can wear. It's considered a 'no wear' part. The steering box can be adjusted, just don't tighten it too tight.

Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, current red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...

That's what I was thinking. I did tighten the gear box a little bit, but it didn't seem to help. I guess some day I'll have to fork over the bucks for a new gear box.

As long as you have threads showing on that adjusting bolt on the steering box you still have adjustment. I don't know the proper method for adjusting it. I had the alignment shop adjust mine. Made HUGE difference. You may have adjusted the wrong way or not enough to notice.

Don't play with it to much or you will end up replacing it. Been there done that. I saw an article on a another site that tells the proper way to adjust it. I'll see if I can find it.

How old are your wheel bearings? When those get old they can cause "play" in your steering.

So can the rubber isolator at the end of the steering shaft. When that thing gets flimsy, you get some play before the steering kicks in, even if everything in the suspension is tight.

The bearings are new, I replaced them when I bought the car in march...I was hoping that that would fix the steering. It did help a lot, but it didn't fix it.

That is basically what I did, except I didn't jack the car up. What significance would that have?
