Is it worth fixing??
So my neighbor is giving me a 86 camaro they gave him its a 2.8 mpfi....but the previous owner ran into a electrical pole in the back and it shattered the back window and bent the back luke in a v shape he said if I wanted he could help me pull it or if I qanted too the car has 33000 original miles it starts right up as soon as I crank it over the ac and heater even wrk perfect...but is it worth trying to fix it or am I just waisting my time? Thanks.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no.
But yeah more than likely if it isn't too bad and you don't mind having a 2.8. I'd just keep giving it away though. I just barely want my IROC. Had it for sale or trade once. Came real close to trading it for a Harley in I believe early 2009. Then I decided I wanted it.

Yeah but I also have a 87 iroc I'm working on so I would not mind a 2.8 its cause he was going to junk it and the cart is very well taken care of inside...i was thinking of just pulling it out and trying to get it as straight as possible..and hoping the back bumper will cover the imperfections
Re: Is it worth fixing??
Throw a 2JZ GTE Supra engine in it. It'll still be a six shooter, just fast. That'll get it as straight as possible, literally. Straight 6.

As cheeeeep as these cars are in general, I'd say no.... you can buy 2 or 3 other cars that aren't killed, for the price it'll take to fix that. Which is pretty much where you'd have to start for fixing it, anyway: find a similarly killed car, just killed in a different place. One way or the other, a thirdgen is going to the crusher.
I'd say, at this point, it's time to donate any remaining useable organs for transplant, and give the remaining remains a respectful burial. Thank your neighbor for not just having it crushed outright though, and for giving its surviving parts a chance to carry on.

The only reason im considering it is vause he would help me do all the body work...he had a shop out of his house so he had everything necessary to try to fix it.

You'll still need another car. Most of what you need you can't buy new any more, or if you could, it would cost more than buying a whole other car.
You're still sending at least one car to the crusher, any way you slice it.
Unless you are just looking for a project and don't care about how much time money or effort you put into it, might as well be this one.

Sad sometimes, but oh well...
Just be sure to save whatever is still good, so someone else can benefit. Front cap, interior, doors, little things that are hard to get except from a wrecked car, wiring harnesses, stuff like that.
