I assume you mean *newer* and not never?

What year to what year? 3rd and 4th gen are essentially similar rear setups, but the front would require a LOT of work for the double a-arms and steering to bolt up...

As for 5th gen ("new") Camaros, I have no idea.

What specifically are you looking to do?

Re: Take a complete suspension from a never camaro?

Oh sorry i meant newer. I´m gonna buy a camaro 3th gen yearmodell 88-90 after the summer and i´m gonna put in a ls1 engine and t56 tranny. to make the car legal here in sweden with this setup the car must be registerd as a custom built car. so i need to change the engine, tranny, brakes and the suspension. So is the suspesion from a 4 gen better/ any change instead of the 3 gen?

Re: Take a complete suspension from a never camaro?

The rear suspension is identical & for handling.....The 3rd gen front suspension is better for handling than 4th gen (no clue how the 5th gen is, but I'd suspect better).

I have seen ONE guy put in a 4th gen front (open the hood & your looking at a 4th gen engine bay) under under the 3rd gen body, but it was a show car so not sure how good it woulda been on the street.

the front end parts would require you chop everything off forward of the firewall and weld back together; not something very easy or cheap to do.

The car I was referring to actually transplanted the whole firewall and everything forward of it! Can't find my old pics from Houston, TX of it on the GM Camaro Tour from 1997.

Sure; comes RIGHT off.

What are you planning on doing with it? Won't fit one of these cars without, as said, MAJOR surgery. While the LS1 & T-56 is more or less a direct bolt-in, the front chassis and suspension is TOTALLY different in every possible way.

Re: Take a complete suspension from a never camaro?

If you really need custom suspension go for aftermarket strut towers, A arms and struts that should pass all day long

http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=402

Or from founders

http://www.foundersperformance.com/c...sion-Packages/

Then add this

that should look ultra custom
