Anyone have an opinion on front end rebuild kits?

Over the Memorial Day weekend I'd like to rebuild the front end. I'm getting tired of squeaks sloppy steering. I just want to do a rebuild, no need for anything race worthy. I saw this kit (http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/ca...ebuildkit.aspx) on Hawks for a reasonable price. Anyone have thoughts on this particular kit? Also I'd like to replace the front struts but I really don't know what good brands are. I've seen prices that range from 70-300 so I'm not sure what the best bang for my buck would be. Thanks for any help!

Looks to be the Spohn version which has had good reports:

The best seems to be Bilstein and Koni at the high end of the price range. You might search KYB AGX and Tokico Illuminas for a more modest price.

Wish those were in the budget....

I'm gonna go with the Spohn front-end rebuild kit, Moog springs, KYB AGX shocks, and a Wonderbar for good measure. Is there anything I'm overlooking with this selection?

your list looks good. you might want to check your lower ball joints, and sway bar bushings and end links too.

Oops, forgot to mention I'm including ball joints in the kit. I'll make sure to look at those bushings.

*edit* I actually completely forgot about the sway bar itself. Should I leave this stock and replace the bushings or install a new one while I'm under there?

i replace everthing except torque arm and sway bars. ive never had it to a track yet!! so i would suggest to use what you have and just freshin them up with new bushings. this will help keep the cost down or just buy other cool stuff, lol. sfc, coils...

Re: Anyone have an opinion on front end rebuild kits?

I did full moog on the front of my bird from rockauto and saved some coin, did all steering and ball joints, basically without the kit assembly fee if you will, and shipping is pheonominal from rock auto. Everyone is out to make money, but probably after 30 minutes on slow internet I had everything in one box for cheap shipping. Plus I think right now there is also a 5% discount floating on a Google search.
