If the price is good, give it a shot. The floors and rear wheel wells are close enough that it would be really close to fitting. I could see an issue clearing the 3rd gen interior on the rear wheels wells.

Please keep us informed.

I was 2 seconds away from getting one on my '02 but backed out at the last seconds. I would love to put one on my third gen though.

k so it does fit pretty well. only modification needed is the passenger side front mounting plate.. needs to be bent (rolled) over to adhere to the contour of the thirdgen front floor panel. otherwise its a nice fit. i should have pics up in a few days... i didnt get the rear bars however.

what? no.. i have the main hoop and the driver and passenger side door bars.. Wolfe call it their 4 point roll bar. you can add the rears to make it a 6 point.. to which i do not have currently..

the issue i was telling you about is the front passenger door bar mount.. not the passenger main hoop mount

this is the picture from wolfe's site.. this is what i have currently..

you can then add in the rear bars... like this.

this is a picture of all the bars bolts together..

Oh. Typically a 4-pt is the hoop & 2 rear bars. Door bars added to make make it into a 6-pt. Never seen a 4-pt made of the hoop & door bars. Odd way for them to redefine what is the typical 4-pt design. Go look at ANY other manufacturer & a 4-pt will be the hoop & rear bars. Zero with hoop & door bars.

yep true.. i thought it was odd the way they sell it.. they sell the rears as an "add on"..

i just sent them an email asking if i can buy just the rears since this guy i bought them from didnt have them.. hopefully they arent too expensive.

You could always get rear bars from other places, or if you have a rear seat you could get the Jegs Seat Saver bars so that rear seat passengers heads would clear the rear bars better.

no i need the wolfe ones, since they are bolt on at the top of the hoop, they will just slip right on, then i drill the rear deck and attach the backing plates.. very simple

im almost done, should be done today.. i'll post pics of how i modified the front door bar plate too..

I wonder if they designed there four point bar as another way to tie the front and rear subframe together more than for roll over protection

Well it's in and done, great Fitment, only real issue is as I mentioned before about the front passenger door bar mount needing to be modified. I'm at work right now and pics are on my iPhone.

Anyone know how to post pics on here from an iPhone?

Re: Wolfe 4thgen bolt in 4 point, fit thirdgen?

Whats the reason for the roll bar? I can't imagine it will pass any sanctioning bodies. And I can't think of another reason to have a bar. What an interesting design.

Re: Wolfe 4thgen bolt in 4 point, fit thirdgen?

k here we go.. these were taken right after i bolted it in.. i had not cut the carpet yet because i wanted to show the mounting areas

driver side looking down

passenger side rear

this is the front passenger door bar mount that needs modified.. you can see i roll it over to match the contour of the floor pan.

fits pretty nice.. the kit doesnt actually come with under carriage mounting plates.. just some over sized washers.. so i made my own 1/4" thick plate steel under carriage mounting plates.

A little heat, a dead blow hammer and a round log of wood

Were pics ever posted? The other pics are no longer viewable. Curious how this looked.
