I found a junk yard with about 20 or so fbodys sitting around. They had several 4th gen trans ams with rear disc setting on ground. Can I install a complete rear end into my 86 camaro?

will stick out if your using stock thirdgen wheels.... im running a torsen ls1 rear on my 88 gta.. I plan on keep the 4th gen style rear so I can run deep dish zr1 rims with 315 tires on the rear someday

 

I am using a rear end out of a 2000 pontiac trans am right now. Just run fourth gen wheels on the rear and spacers in the front. You will not fit 315 series in the rear unless you have the inner fenders tubbed or the tires sticking out the sides a good bit.

 

Will need to change the proportion valve if you are going from drum rear to disk. If you dont the rears wont hold.
