Rear springs for more 'rake'

Anyone got a suggestion on a part # for rear springs that might give the car a wee more rake, be firm, etc ?

I'm not into the lowered fast and furious look. .

I used the Moog replacements for the Iroc. I can't remember the PN though.
275/60 tires in rear and 235/60 in front

Here are a couple of pics of mine

What about just adding a spring rubber to your current setup?

I saw threads suggesting both.

Re: Rear springs for more 'rake'

I believe the CC635 are variable rate versus the linear 5665. But I could be wrong. I have seen threads saying the CC635 (empty hatch) sit higher and other threads say the 5665 are higher.

Found this on another thread:
CC635:
Spring size: Inside Diameter 4.3", Bar Diameter .5", Installed Height 10.25"
Load rating: 518 lbs.

5665:
Spring size: Inside Diameter 4.3", Bar Diameter .485", Installed Height 10"
Load rating: 580 lbs.

So my suggestion of just adding a spring rubber didn't go too well? Or you need new springs anyways?

Interesting.

I actually have some 4th gen (98+) isolators which are taller, but my factory WS6 springs are almost rotted and can be compressed by a small child.

It's one of those deals where, I've spent about $22,000 in parts, paint, etc, might as well replace the last few stock items.

You are right there. Might as well get a new set. Maybe just the new springs alone will raise it to what you want.

Re: Rear springs for more 'rake'

I ended up with the CC635s on my car. Unfortunately it's still sitting on jack stands so I'm unsure how much rake it does or doesn't give. I primarily went with them, because in Minnesota, due to freezing\unfreezing, the roads are horse crap with huge cracks, etc. Looking at the springs themselves, it's only the first two coils that are tight, so I'm guessing that will be enough to dampen the bumps without making the rear too loose. Or at least I hope so.

Edit: I lied, it's more than the first couple. Here's a comparison between my old 84 Trans Am springs and the CC635.

Re: Rear springs for more 'rake'

I had the same issue a few years ago and I bought a set of new spring isolators from a '98 T/A. It fixed the issue perfectly.

Re: Rear springs for more 'rake'

This is with the MOOG 5665 rear springs but the 255/60r15 tires in the rear are also 1in taller then the 235/60r15 tires in front.

I like the nice firm ride I get with them and a set of KYB- "Gas A Just" rear shocks.
