Hi all, I have a 1983 Trans Am with optional 4 disc brake setup and I am looking to spruce up pretty much everything. Ive ordered a set of vogtland lowering spring as I dont want a massive drop and I ordered a set of Koni front and back shocks. The retailer messaged me back saying koni have discontinued the rear shocks unless an order of 50 or more a placed. Clearly i'm not doing that, the front shocks are apparently still available so my question is.... Do I keep my order for the front Koni's and get different rear shocks. The Bilstein rears are still available (My preference would have been front and rear Bilsteins as I have them on my Rally car and love them but the front Bilsteins are no longer available) but a mismatch of parts isnt really the way I want to go. I have subframe connectors and new trailing arms and a decent panhard rod so what shock option would recommend baring in mind I need delivery to the U.K. as ive had issues buying shocks off of Ebay.com when my order was cancelled because seller couldnt ship them to me.
When he is back on the road he will be running a 320bhp 355ci small block with an uprated 700r4 and 1800 stall converter.

Not sure which Konis you were interested in however the yellows are considered the de facto standard for these cars.
Looks like Summit Racing has them and will ship to the UK. I've done a shopping cart simulation and it looks to be good to go.
Excellent, thank you. There is a german company (not koni themselves) who are listing 4 in stock so ive asked them if they do actually have them. If they do i'll get them from them as its free shipping and no import duty. If not then i'll get onto summit.
Ive found a place in germany that has the fronts so ive ordered them from them and the rears ive ordered from summit and they say have been shipped so hopefully its all good.

As for brakes, are you sticking with the stock setup or planning on an upgrade? The "LS" 4th gen swap is popular and there's lots of info here regarding parts and procedures.
That was my choice. It's also handy in that replacement parts are over the counter items. At least on this side of the pond anyway.
I was thinking of going with the replacement caliper and a standard size EBC grooved and dimpled disc. I dont like drilled discs as ive seen them shatter on stage rallies. I'll look a bit more at the 4th gen swap and see what I can get over here.
