Hey, good luck with that... as soon as my unfortunate wait is over, I will be able to plan the installation of my LT1 cam. Unfortunately, still no word on it.
Good luck on the swap.. I'm going to be asking you a bunch of questions about doing it though. I have read a lot of teh posts about it, but am still a little confused about the pin, or something like that that has to be cut, or whatever.:lala:

i like the fact that theres gonna be absolutely no performance parts on it for a while so when people say they got an xv8...nothing special. sounds cool though.
Nope, sorry, after much thought, I can't think of what w00t would mean.
I don't imagine it's an abbreviation, and I've tried sounding it out!
Help me!
"double-u double-oh tee?"
"Woot?"

One of my freinds is hell bent of getting it. I says to him "Dude, for how much that will cost ya, freaking biuld a sweet 350 or something" no dice - he's a ***** at heart, and well, "oh man, newer man, its 4.8 liters, that pretty big, and 300 hp!! holy ****"...fool...

That was anti-climactic. Or is it NT-climactic?
I'll have to brush up on my geek-speak.
As for the cam, I'd recommend running the part numbers on a GM site, and picking the one with the most lift. Keep in mind that LT1 cam's lifts differ year to year. I got a 93, which is the smallest.
