K&N filter and now a bad noise from TB

So I just jot my K&N filter and a week later I have a loud rattle noise (dont know if it is related to new filter) from the TB. I hear it faintly when I have the engine running, But it is really loud when I press the gas pedal. I took off the filter cover and look at the TB. The 2 "blades" had moister on them and when I put my ear to the TB I could really hear the rattle.

Could a fuel injector have gone out. (the moister be fuel). Those are the fuel injectors right on top correct?

Sould I stop driving it until I get this prob fixed?

Are you sure your not just hearing the injector pulses. They can be rather noisy. If your K&N is an open element, I would say that is definitely the case. I could hear mine inside the cabin of my truck. I don't hear it in the car with the dual snorkel air cleaner.

if the car runs fine there probably isnt anything wrong. TBI seems to be very noisy. I even got some new noises with the intake to. Really loud whitle...sounds like a vaccum leak but ive checked and checked and cant find anything.

After I installed my Open Element air cleaner, I didn't hear anything but a louder swoosh of air when I reved the engine up. If you hear Rattles, something is wrong. Most likely a bad injector.

So i brought it to my grandpa's. We were looking at the injectors (were the sound was coming from) and when you put you finger in both the one on the right shook alot more, does that mean it it bad. I got some fuel injector cleaner, I'll try that on the next gas fill up.

The fuel spraying out of the Injector should have an upside down funnel shape and the Injectors should not be loose. Do the Ultimate TBI mods since you're going to be taking the TB apart to install the new Injector.

You have a 11 year old car with 11 year old injectors. They are bound to make noise due to their age. Let me guess it is a timed click click click click. Oh and the moisture on the throttle blades is the fuel from being sprayed on it from above......

Mine have been clicking loudly since I've first got the car over 3 years ago. I havent had a problem yet.

Just check to make sure that the spray pattern is in a nice cone shape. If it is then great dont worry about it. If it isnt well ummm send your injectors out to http://www.cruzinperformance.com/ and get them cleaned and flow matched

The clicking doesn't hurt anything. If the car is running fine then they are fine. The only time I replace one is when one stops working (which hasn't happened yet) or if one starts leaking. I test for leaking by watching the injectors while my wife turns the ignition on (not engaging starter). They should not drip or spray while the fuel pump is priming. If they do then replace them. If not they are fine.

hell, I always thought that the clicking was an exhaust leak at the manifold or something, but the car ran fine. I put my headers on this weekend and the clicking went away, but that's just because I'm runing open headers and I can't even hear the radio.

Open headers is crazy. I had to drive my near stock 305 TBI about 9 miles to the local exhaust place. It was nutz sooo loud ity wasnt funny. I made some mustang guy at the gas station crap himself tho
