83 Cfi Z28...help!!
I'm trying to gather a list of all the bugs in the CFI systems. I'm getting a little sick of getting waxed by everyone (ricers included). I've already scraped most of the stock exhaust. I've also upgraded my cap, rotor, and coil. I guess I'm mainly just wondering what the most common bugs are that can be fixed and will help me start crushing ricers. Many thanks.

The most common problems are:
Plenum lid vacuum leaks
Low fuel presure
Incorrectly balanced TB's
There are plenty of other problems that are not uncommon, but they are common to all engines. The ones mentioned above are specific to your question, and CFI engines. You should run LOW 15's with a stock CFI car that is PROPERLY TUNED!
Is your cat clogged? What is your fuel presure? Timing? Have you checked for vacuum leaks? What does the car run in the 1/4 right now? What are your ***** buddies cars run in the 1/4?
You need to test and measure these aspects of your car to find out where you really stand.
