it all depends what you wanna do with the motor.
do you wanna make huge power or just respectable power? what is your budget? does your budget count on you doing the work your self or having a shop do your work?
i hope you are not plannign to switch to a carb. tbi is perfectly capable of building a lot of power, drivability, and mileage.

later

we have endless access to a shop and all of the work will be free and done right. also our goal is to get in the 10's. so if that tells you what kinda power we are looking for. thanx in advance

Car: 91 RS
Engine: 350tpi comming soon!
Transmission: fixed the 700r4 again!
lt4 hot cam with afr heads, built trans with good 9.5 inch stall and 12 bolt rear end, major suspension upgrades, major cooling upgrades, major chip tunning.. that would put you depending on how youve tuned and how well you can drive into the 11's or so..

Your are going to need a ton of work to get a 350 into the 10s. Pretty much everything but the block will need to be replaced. You won't be able to get there without a power adder (supercharger, turbo, nitrous). If I were you I would shoot for a more obtainable goal like 12s.

Hey jr305, how does your car run with that setup? Have you ever gotten any times on it? Seems to be about the setup I would like to go with someday, without the t56 anyway.

It runs ok, the computer has a hard time compinsating for the cam (208/221 .474/.510 112 @ .05). I just got everything I need to start tuning, tunercat, Eproms, programer, and WinALDL. No track times yet, but once I get the fuel and spark maps fixed I will take it to the track.
