new best time

Last night was my last time to the track this year and I pulled a best time of..

60 ft....2.2
1/8......9.9
mph.....69.7
1/4......15.56
mph....88.4

this is with a trany mount busted from the other day so it would bang every time I got on it and when it hit second!!

pretty good times man especialy considering u have a broken tranny mount.
Keep up the mods what u plan on doing next?

Ive heard that 3.73s with a peanut cam could actualy do nothing, takes u out of ure power range too quick. I wonder if 3.42s would of have been better??

3.73s are fine to use. There are other ways to help your powerband other than a cam, though obviously a cam is still a very (if not the most) important way to pull more rpm. I went 3.73s knowing a cam swap was coming.
Good time by the way, especially with a busted tranny mount.

thanks guys...
Next I want to put the vortec 350 in if I have the money in the spring....I really don't think it is worth putting new heads and cam in a 305 with 142,000 miles on it. I also planned on the 3.73's for future mods...i love the gears but I top end was lost as a result of this..I am hopping with the new 350 and 330 hp I will gain a lot of top end.

Looks like your next mod is the same one that Im going to get: traction If you can pull that 60' down a little you could see a low 15!

I added your time to the registry, nice job especially with a busted tranny mount!
