is this a good cam?

I want to buy this comp 252AH-12 cam and I just wanted someones input of the type of results I might get with it.

Following info on this cam kit;
-Lift(w/1.5 Rockers) intake=.425 exhaust=.440

-Duration(@.50) intake 206 exhaust 212
(Adv. Dur) intake 252-4 exhaust 206-7

-hydraulic lifters
-lobe sep. angle 112 degrees
-1000-5000rpm range

[B]Stock CFI 82 305 lu5 has following cam specs;[B]

[B]Lift[B] intake=.390 exhaust=.410

[B]Duration[B] intake 194 exhaust 201

This cam is going together with ported out stock intake manifold, ported heads, headers, 3'' exhaust, and ultimate tbi upgrade.
What might this setup produce; in horsepower? 1/4 mile?

it is a pretty mild cam, certainly an upgrade from teh stocker, but you coudl get a bit more cam adn gain a lto more performance for the same amount of work/money. you don't need to go nuts or anything, but a ported intake and ultimated tb's can definately handle mroe cam than that. i suggest looking at teh extreme energy 268h. it is a great all around cam, perfect for a strong street car.

with the ultimate mods and tunign you can add a cam and still easily meet your states emissions standards. since the emissions standards are basiclly rated on teh "waste" of you engine, a littl ebit of tungn is all it will take to get a mild cam to comply.

I'd look at trying to squeeze a bit more lift from that cam with some higher ratio rocker arms.

IM wanting to get a set of l98's head's for my 350 and have them ported and polished, then get the eldebrock tbi intake and put in a different cam. I want to put in 3:73 gear's and a 2400 stall torque converter too. But i need some one to recommend me a good cam for this setup too

The 268h high energy cam seems like it would be wicked for my setup. However one the comp cam website it says that the cam is designed for engines with 9:1 compression or less, mine has 9:5, it also says that the cam is designed for carburated engines, mines a cfi.
Were should I go from here?

should I just ignore most of that and go ahead with getting that 268h cam. I heard somewhere about the lobe separation having to be 112 or 114 degrees for my 305 cfi.
IS anybody sure if this cam is compatible with my 1982 305 crossfire engine?
..and yes im going to keep the exhisting throttle body..

It's not a bad camshaft but the 110* is going to give you some trouble.

I'd personally go with a dual pattern cam. 252AH-12 doesn't look too bad. Maybe grab some 1.6 roller rockers as well to bump up the lift figures.
