TBI Performance
Alright, I have a 355 motor I built and have a chip to go along with it. It runs fine but I want more power from the TBI. I installed 350 injectors and was wondering if anyone knew if Turbo Citys injector lift kit works well, if a TBI swirl spacer would be practical, or a tornado type air swirl, and if cold air induction be managable since no one makes it for our gen years. I am just wondering as to what ideas I could do to make it breath a little better, other than switching to a carb. Thanks.

I would just install an open element
if you dont want to spend $20 for an injector spacer, you can just go to your local parts store and buy 2 injector pod gaskets (1/8inch each), it would be the same height as the injector spacer.
As for the TBI spacer, I am going to be getting a 1/2" spacer (biggest you should go unless you want to mess with you linkage) but i wouldnt spend more that 30 bucks for one.

check otu teh tech articles for the ultimate tbi mods before you go spending any money. please tell us the rest of the work that you have into the car, was teh chip burned from a data log or from a spec sheet?

that is all taht the injector spacer does, it raises teh injector pod up slightly to allow more air to pass by. tbi has a lot fo power "stored" in it because gm didn't optimize any part of teh system from teh factory. it is not uncommon for people to gain noticable performance from just from free mods mentioned in teh tech articles.

The chip
The chip was custom burned to the motor with a tech sheet I sent in they burned it from the information. It has the L31 Vortec heads, edelbrock short headers and cat back flowmaster. The cam is the biggest that will allow with the upgraded spring lift kit installed on the heads. There is really too much more to list on what I have done, but the car has 162,000 miles and not one of them belong to that car besides the sheet metal on it.

If you cant list everything you have done to your car then we cant help you. We need this info. no matter how small, or how long it take's to write it on here. Just make a sig once and then you never have to write this info again.
