Wires on headers is a very good reason for the car running poorly. Get new wires and run them at least a half inch away from the headers.

hot headers melt wire shielding causing electricty to spark on the headers and not the plugs ...........

try to zip tie them away the best you can

I had the same problem when I first installed my headers. Only had one wire burn through, but it was very noticable. You did a good thing by purchacing 90* boots. I'm sure new wires will cure your problem, but if for some reason it doesn't, start looking for exhast leaks.....

yup i put a brand new one in thats why i think the car is still driveable, plus the msd is curing the shaky idle and smoothing it out somewhat, i think its my wires screwing everything up cause there all str8 boot wires laying on the headers, so im guess this is causing some sort of miss fire. I guess Ill replace my plugs also with some bosch plat 2. I get them for free so why not use em u know. Just hope the msd doesnt blow em out, lol... Well im gonna try the wires on monday thanx guys, ill let u know what happens.

Don't get the Bosche platinum plugs. I had the +4 platinums and just removed them after like only 3000 miles. They are all just about foulded out. I replaced them with factory AC delco $1 plugs and the car runs awesome now. I have pics of the fouled plugs that I will post later to show what MSD and Bosche platinum plugs do together

Double check and make sure all your spark plug wires are in the right firing order. It is very easy to reverse two wires.
