Ultimate TBI Worth The Effort?

Anyone who has done the Ultimate TBI mod on their car, I need opinions.
I recently installed headers and a catback on my LO3 as my sig shows. I'm now wondering whether to do the ultimate TBI on it soon. Is this going to make an appreciable difference in performance, given that my engine is internally stock, and staying that way for the forseeable future? Or is this one of those mods that one saves for the point when you've done everything else and you're trying to squeeze every last HP out of it?
Any input is appreciated.:hail:

i did the ultimate tbi mods on my 92 firebird i noticed a small diference in throttle response. nothing extreme but it was a bigger difference adding an open element filter and the adjustable fuel pressure regulator to it

open element, tbi spacer, injection spacer, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and modifying the TBI....all of those should give a noticeable power increase, not saying BIG, but noticeable.

I noticed a way bigger improvement with an open element rather then the ultimate TB. with the ultimate TB mod i noticed a slight slight slight improvment in throttle responce

I gather from the responses that the "Ultimate TBI" mods are only marginally benificial at best

Has anyone dynoed this?

I went from a 11.0 to a 10.5 in the eigth. The only other mod was cutting the small end of the snorkel off my air cleaner assembly and running a new duct to the original scoop on the upper radiator support.

i noticed a small but noticeable difference. i went wild with mine though because i got the TBI for free and diddnt care all that much if i messed it up. but i ground the s*** out of it and then sanded it down to like 1200 grit .the hardest part about the whole project was grinding them damn bars that the throttle blades conect to they were really hard and took a long time if i can ever find out how to get my pics to show up on this board i will post mine

Well, no one's saying that it's an ineffective mod, and the price is right. Why not? Every little bit helps...
Thanks for the replies.

To grind the shafts I used the rock looking bit, and it seemed to go through them pretty well.

i wonder if the TPI throttle body would benefit from removing a little from the bars.

When you ground the shafts what did you do about the t-rex bolts? Did you just grind the heads off of them too? If you do that, can you ever unbolt them again? ( I dont know why you would need to but who knows?) Also if you grind the bolts heads off, is there a problem with them loosening up over time and loosing the blades? I want to do this mod but I always wondered about this. Turbo city uses a modified screw when they grind the shafts.
Thanks for your thoughts..................bob
