car wont start after warming up

89 rs 305 tbi 5 speed. car wont start when at normal operating temperature. cranks just fine, but wont start. it smell likes its flooding so i pulled the connectors of the injectors and sure enough it seemed to be flooded. it started and then died due to the connectors being off, so i put them back on. and it wouldn't start. i've just replaced in the hunt to fix this problem, coil(twice) ingnition module(twice) and new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. now i'm lost, damn thing starts just fine when its cold. but i dont know what else to do.

That sounds like it's time to throw a coolant temp sensor at it. Do you have access to a scan tool?

its definatly one of your sensors...when the engine is cold, the computer disregards all sensor data...if it isnt your coolant temp sensor you should try testing the MAP sensor...if you have a manual it tells you how

same thing happened to me untill i talk to one of my friends about it....he said it was the starter, the starter heats up and it causes it not to be able to crank...i didnt believe him or anything and i still think it was a crock of sh*t but when ever i had my starter relocated it hasnt done this since....

Huh? I think you're confusing the O2 sensor with every other sensor. The only sensor that isn't used during open loop operation is the O2...

same thing happened to me
BTW, his problem is that it's flooding. I believe it is cranking just fine. Different problem.

does the car ever hesitate? if it does, have the fuel pressure checked.

i had a problem like this on my old rs and, believe it or not, it was the fuel pump
sounds crazy, but the car started fine when cold, but would not start when normal temp. then it ran perfectly after the f/pump was replaced
