to make that power, you need big cam, good heads, high rise intake, 2" tbi w/ big injectors. All this still won't make 370 hp with out major tunning.

I think a "super done" 350 with 454 throttle body could put out 430hp. Say if it had AFR 210 heads, circle track cam, single plane intake.

Ask for a dyno sheet, timeslips, something.

I found some engines like that too, they are mostly BS
The engines are proly built with stock heads and are 370 HP on paper with no testing on the dyno or the track

I really doubt a 2bbl tbi is gonna be able to put out those numbers. My 383 is BUILT (good for 400+hp), but even after my fuel pump and chip tuning I only expect 105mph in the quarter with the holley 670 and 85pph injectors. Maybe 360hp at the flywheel. A 4bbl tbi on the other hand could handle 370hp without a problem.....

Have you ever heard of 402 hp and 344 lb-ft out of a 305? Im guessing some of you have stumbled upon this article by hotrod magazine.IT makes this hp at a pretty high 7200 rpm, the torque peaks at 5500 rpm. They used a 2 barrel 650cfm carb during the dyno sessions. Check it out if you havent yet.

Here is an auction for one of those 375hp TBI engines.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2416956019

It is a 350 with a ZZ4 cam, Vortec heads, and a GM TBI vortec manifold. Looks like the engine could make the 375hp, ZZ4 engines make 355hp. Vortec heads should be about a 20hp increase over the ZZ4 (L98) heads. But if the guy does have dyno numbers I bet they are with a carb. I agree with r90camarors, I don't think a 2bbl TBI can support that much power.

They used a 650 cfm dbl. pumper. That's a 4 barrel carb.

And 650 cfm @ 1.5"/Hg is plenty enough for a 305 to make that kinda HP at that RPM. But make it tolerable on the street? That's another story.

Are you talking 2bbl or 4bbl? A 4bbl will be able to handle up to 600hp as rated by holley. I'm guessing it is more than that, as holley only rates their 670 cfm unit at 275hp, but it has proven good to 320hp so far.

No dyno for me, but the "cheazzy" online hp calculators say that my trucks weight with the time I run, works out to about 400hp. I'm aware that those calulators are just a vag guess.
