aluminum heads???

aluminum heads???

ive got a 91 l98 block, and i want to put some aluminum heads on it. what are the ones on the tpi motors called?? there not lt1 are they, also can anyone give me some casting numbers??

Aluminum heads came on L98 TPI Corvettes. I've seen many sets on ebay just look for "aluminum l98" or "vette heads" or something to that effect, you can usually find a lot.

GM Perfomance also put the same heads on the 350 ZZ4 crate engine.

well no that i read my post, let me re word this. i have a 91 l98 with cast iron heads, i want to put some aluminum heads on it . meybe l98 aluminum or lt1 ? i cant remember which are better or what mods i will have to do? dont the lt1 flow backwards or somethin?

You don't want to use LT1 heads on your block because LT1's have the reverse flow blocks and heads so you would need to do modification to your block. The L98 aluminum ones are what you're looking for they're off Corvettes of similar years to yours (ie 91) They've got 58cc combustion chambers so they'll boost your compression some, but I would recommend porting the Vette heads before putting them on to get some good horses.

I think the heads you are looking for are the 88 to 91 vette heads. Casting number 10088113. These are center bolt valve cover w/ D shaped exhaust ports. The only problem or not is there is no EGR passages.

Nope the Vettes with them used an external egr setup.
