350 l98 heads on a 305???

350 l98 heads on a 305???
is it feesable to put 350 l98 heads from a 89 350 on my 92 lo3... if i mill it down and increase the compresion... i can get them for next to nothing from a friend... and i think i have a blown head gasket anyway... i am blowing smoke like crazy!!! i did a search and saw tons of posts... but nothing to help me... i even saw someone wanting to put 305 heads on a 350...???

well, it could work to have them milled down, if you go that route, you will have to have the intake milled to match.

The intake runner volume is also bigger with the 350 heads.
Overall it is a good upgrade. There would be a big power increase especially if you worked over the L98 castings a bit. You will definitely have to port match the intake and the heads though (hopefully you would do that anyway).

I would think the iron heads would be a pain, but the corvette heads are actually an excellent mod. They are aluminum and already come at 58cc (same as a stock 305)

58cc is 58cc. That is the size on the head. The compression can be different dependent on the pistons, engine, etc... However, using a 58cc head on a 305 will give you the same compression ratio. The only thing you may run into is the ability of aluminum to disapate heat, but I see that as a good thing. My engine runs a lot better cold, not with just cold air, but like at night when my engine is running like 140... it seems to really like it.
