misfiring
I recently put headers on my trans am and had to route the plug wires so they wouldn't get fried. I had a basic setup and then I always smelt a burning since I put the coated headers on 4 weeks ago. So yesterday I took duct tape and taped the 4 right side plug wires together so they would be out of the headers way. Since yesterday, under heavier throttle my car misfires alot.
Could it be because the wires so close together are inducing current at such high speeds to the wrong wires?
*I dont think the oxygen sensor can make it misfire but mine is new, however it was close to being totally fried the first day I was driving with headers.

I took the duct tape off of the 4 plug wires and it doesn't hesitate anymore. However today i installed an open element filter system and it has like no low end but lots of top, is this normal?

does the same go for the boot, because I tried everything but my #5 boot is about 1/4 of a centimeter away from header.
I also changed the plugs today and noticed that half of them were severely cracked.
