Performance Chip on E-Bay

hello,
Does anyone have any experience with this guy or his chip?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2427896017
Would you reccomend it, or should i steer clear. I would run a 170* stat.

FYI, i have a '91 RS Vert., 305TBI, AC on passenger side, Open Element K&N, 3" magnaflow cat and 3" Hooker catback.

Thanks in advance,
Christopher.

It is a waste of your time and efforts. Most people will tell you that. There is only one real way to get a good chip and that is to have it done yourself or someone else with the right DIY Prom stuff. I saw a post last week that said someones car ran .2 sec slower because they used on of those chips. Try a search under "custom chip" or allong those lines and prepagre to read for a day. You will learn just about everything you need to know.

Thanks, Shifty.
I think you just saved me $30, plus grief. I was leaning that way, anyway.

Cheers,
Christopher.

I recently installed a stage 2 chip from him and its awsome. It does make a difference especially if you have an open element or an exhaust. Definatly worth the money and its an easy install. With the stage 2 he stated a 20hp increase and i'm not sure about that but definatly make a difference and worth the money.

Like i said i have the stage 2 chip and it cost me 50 and it was well worth it. Now is the chip for the car you have in your sig? If so then go to his website at www.tbichips.com and email him. He does custom prom burining and has a better chip for you if you have an lt1 cam. The stock lt1 cam chip is only 30 i think and will be definatly better than what you have. Like you said you don't wanna waste money and i'm in the same boat. You definatly get what you pay for. If you wanna spend a lil more he does a custom chip for only 100....thats still cheaper than most.

Just my opinion

That is tbichips.com. Brian is his name and I can tell you from personal experiance that he is wonderful to work with, very communative. His pre-made performance chips are much more precise than anything you can buy from hypertech, etc. He does custom work as well, so my suggestion is to get some winaldl data, send it to him and have a custom chip burned, unless you are near stock in which case his performance chip will work fine.
It's alright to say thermomaster chips and what not suck, because they do imo. I had the stage 2, and can honestly say it was the biggest waste of money. Brians work on the other hand has yielded me many sotp differences after modding.

Pretty much all you need for winaldl is a labtop, a cable, and the program. Best of luck.
