It sounds a little high. The L03 was rated at 170hp stock, so theoretically you'd be at around 200hp given 5 hp for open element, 5hp for the chip and 20hp for the exhaust.
Just out of curiousity, how does the g'tech caculate the hp numbers?

it calculates it by weight, rpms, and speed i guess. you hook it up to the cigarret lighter thing. this thing is sopposed to be fairly accurate and i heard its readings are respectable. my friend has a 94 mustang, the book says it has 215 hp, and the gtech dynod him at 240, soo u get the buffer zone.

Way to high for what you have. G-tech results are not the most accurate. But if those numbers make you happy, so be it. Just remenber you don't make HP just by adding your mods up as one post quoted.

That's why I said "theoretically". I just didn't feel like breaking the guys heart when I was going to say maybe 185-190 hp at the flywheel. Never roll your eyes at one of my posts!!! lol

Anyways, the only way to truely deturmine your power numbers is to dyno it. There is no caculation that can get you real numbers, the proof being the g'tech numbers. It is especially hard to start to guesstimate precise power numbers for most of the l03s as by now, most are well over the 100k mile mark, which can lead to lost hp in it's self.

IMO, power numbers don't really mean too much. It's the times and trap speeds that win races. What were your g'tech times?

92 Z28 came with 2 engines 305 TPI or 350 TPI. 305 came stock with 215 hp. 350 came with 245 hp. If you have a 350 with those mods, 265 will probably be close. Any other engine, No.
Remember G techs are not always accurate. There is a small margin for error. If you want an accurate rating go to a shop with a dyno.

Since he posted in the TBI board, I think most of us were lead to believe he was running the 305 TBI rated at 170hp and 255ft/tq.
