Ordered New Engine Will This Setup Be Enough?

I JUST PUT SOME MONEY DOWN ON THIS MOTOR. I PLAN ON USING THE RPM INTAKE AN HEADS WITH THE 454 THROTTLE BODY AND ADAPTER PLATE, AND OF COURSE THE NEW FUEL PUMP, AFPR, CUSTOM CHIP AND ALL THAT GOOD STUFF. I AM NOT EXPEXTING 430HP BUT 350-400 WOULD BE NICE. DO YOU THING IT IS REASONABLE. TRANNY IS ALREADY RATED TO HANDLE 400HP, HAD CUSTOM BUILD GUY KNOWS HIS ****> MY ONLY CONCERN WOULD THE RPM CAM BE TO BIG FOR TBI SET UP BECAUSE THEY WILL CUSTOM GRIND CAM SPECS. wILL BE HYDRAULIC ROLLER.
ALSO LOSING ALL EMISSION AND AC AND WILL BE RUNNING STRAIGHT EXHAUST OR AT LEAST NO CAT. WOULD APPRECIATE ANT FEEDBACK. BY THE WAY THE TRACK TIMES I POSTED WERE FROM 9-11-03. STOCK 305 HEADS AND CAM. tHEY WERE KIND OF EMBARRASSING SO I AM DETERMINED TO KICK *** NEXT YEAR. GONNA START WORKING ON IT KNOW.

That motor comes with a carb and their cam. Not sure what you are asking for.

With the BB TBI, higher fp and somehow tune it all, you could see up to 350 hp. My estimate.

THE MOTOR I WILL BE GETTING WILL BE MINUS CARB, PULLEY SYSTEM AND DIST. FUEL PUMP PLATE BLOCKOFF WILL BE INCLUDED. ALL I NEED IS STARTER, DIST, ESC MODULES, TBI ADAPTER, AND BIG TBI WITH CUSTOM CHIP, MY PULLEY SYSTEM WILL WORK. AT LEAST THATS THE BASICS I THINK.

I would think that since they list that cam as a muscle car roller with great torque and sound, that means its a lopey idle and probably doesn't pull much vacuum at idle. I think that cam would probably be hard to tune a chip for. If you're looking at that engine I would suggest just getting the whole package as they list it and run the carb, a 454TBI will be restricting you. That's just what I would do if that pricetag was no big deal.

Muscle car cam? Find out what the specs are. If I had a 350 I'd want something in the area of 525-540 lift (hoo-rah! ) and 220 duration.

btw, best way to not get advice is to talk ****.

Chuck thanks for the advice. Maybe you can help give me some insight on this motor. Here is what i will get. first of all im will tell you that all emissions equipment is going, including cat. AC might be going to but I am not quite sure what is involved. The motor will have 64cc rpm heads, whatever intake i want from edelbrock, and as far as cam goes they will get me whatever specs i want(hydraulic roller). I am worried about having enough flow to feed the heads and rpm intake. I am thinking of carb but would rather not.

Port the 454 throttle body (or holley 670) as much as possible. Raise the injector pod alittle with a small block gasket. I would also suggest polishing as much of the motor as possible (heads, intake, into the headers alittle). But since your going crate you probably won't want ot start pulling the thing apart.

I don't see my throttle body as a resrtiction, At full throttle high rpm I'm only losing a few Kpa across the blades. As far as Hp, I'd like to think that I'm upwards of 350 at the fly, but no dyno numbers to porve this.
