305 H.O. heads

i originally thought the casting numbers for the H.O. heads was 416, but i was reading a post yesterday and found that 416 castings are 305 tpi heads. are the H.O. heads 406 castings or something else. i want H.O. heads for my motor so i need to know the correct casting numbers so the boneyard doesnt give it to me in the backside. for some reason in this state, theyre always H.O. heads. the poor sap i bought my maro from actually thought that the motor was an H.O. cause thats what his "pal" told him. i knew better. oh yeah, the engine code for the H.O. was l69 right?

the 416 casting heads were on L69's and LG4's they may have been on the 85 and 86 TPI cars, but not sure about that.

no, the 416 have pushrod guids built in, they use non self alinging arms, if you get self alinging, they will work, you just need to have the guides drilled out.

Look for a 267 SBC, they had 601's with 1.76 intake valves.

L69 and LG4 both used the 416 heads, both with 1.84 valves.
