chip help!!

chip help!!

I have an '89 rs t-tops with a 283(not a typo) tbi injected, crane cam hydraulic cam. 114 degrees of lobe seperation, 266, 272 duration.this is carb cam. long story on how that all ended up. compression is at 9.3 to 1. headers with 3" cat back(not much to the cat either). 3.42 gears. tranny is custom built vette tranny th700r4. torque convertor is a saturday night special. any ideas on where i can find a good chip that will work with this combination?

burn your own, its the only way you are going to get an accurate tune with that odd ball of a combo. especialy since that is a fairly healthy cam for a 283. luckily it is a 114lsa, if it was a 108 you would really be hard pressed to tune it.

yes, dewey is right, he is alot of of the time. i figured you meant where could you buy one. but yes any time you can burn your own go for it, thats how these guys are getting their killer track times and gas mileage.

The stock chip would run better than a jet chip or any "off the shelf" chip for that matter.

who is the person that can burn a chip? any help that i can get is greatly needed. i tried jet chips, they referred me to fast chips and they toldme to put a carb on it. don't want carb. i want to keep this thing fuel injected!!

If i were you I would research how to do it and tackle it yourself. I too was turned off by the idea and it seemed so far fetched. One day I actually watched someone do it and low and behold it is pretty simple. Like anything with cars, it takes time to learn but will pay off in the future.

The only person that can burn the proper chip for you is yourself. It is well worth the effort to purchase the tools and learn it. The only warning I have is that it is addictive.
