Need Pics for those with Holley 670 TBI
For those individual that have the Holley 670 TBI, could you please post pictures of your set up. (the TBI only) Also maybe post the type of engine and HP. Thanks.
TBI pictures
Look up my threads with my username....
I would guess my engine put out about 300 or so HP at the flywheel and about 270 at the wheels....
Not too shabby. My setup is in my sig.
May it rest in peace..... The car was totalled on 12/3/2003

Heres mine. Probably around 250 hp, 350 ft-lbs of torque by my estimates, but the cars so buggy that it never stays running good long enough for me to get to a dyno. Hey, Bill, how high above the tbi does that air box sit?

Thanks for the pictures. Here is my Holley TBI I purchased back in 2001 (yes 2001) from a guy by the name of Bill Bates. Planning to use it for my 92 RS. The question I have is in the picture, I have a TPS sensor on the passenger side and I noticed that other Holley TBI have 2 sensors on the passenger side of the TBI. Mine also came with an adaptor to fit 4bbl intake.

You have one of the older TB's that do not have the IAC hole drilled out.
I was given one of those and drilled it out myself and added the IAC. You will also need to switch the TPS from your stock TB onto this one so the IAC will clear.
I've never done it but I have seen the remote IAC's.
Might be another option instead of drilling the TB..
The box is about 5" tall. Lot's of them on EBAY. the filters are junk but it adds a little silk to the old sow!!(bling)

Youll also want to use your stock tbi pod as the mostly old parts and rust (mopar) injectors that the older holleys came with where junk. Delphi now manufactures that same injector that the older holleys use as an oem replacement but i dont know if theyve improved the design or not
Bill,
Damn, 5 inches... The nut on teh air cleaner would stick out through the top of my hood when i close it. Guess itll have to wait untill i have a fancy aftermarket hood.

I don't have any complaints with the rest of it.
The pipe is 3.5"OD
The filter looks fine and is double wire mesh but after a week of driving it, I could start to see daylight through the filter.
The air box is actually 5.5" tall.

Bill USN-1, can I use my IAC and TPS from my current TBI and install it into the Holley TBI? Do you remember what size drill bit you use to drill the hole to make provision for the IAC?
Dimented24x7 and Bill USN-1 , Thanks for the advice.

To be honest I don't remember the drill size.
You will have to drill the outer large hole then find a tap for the thread pitch on the IAC.
Once the outside is drilled then you have to drill the inner port.
I used a small center hole and used a larger bit to make the taper for the seat of the IAC.
If you don't have the resources, I'm sure a simple machine shop would do it for next to nothing.
I used the TPS from my GM TB. IIRC the original are not adjustable, But most of the replacements are.
